Next workshop dates to be announced. Saturdays, 1:30 - 4:30. This day is open to all beginning dancers, those wanting to review the basics, new women leaders, and folks interested in exploring this style. Please reply to register and let friends know about this workshop! $40.
Tango III: Wednesdays, 7 - 8:30. 5-week series: October 29, November 6 (cancelled November 13), November 20 and 27 and December 4. December 11th is my birthday so maybe we will just have a party!
This class is designed for those already comfortable with close embrace dancing. We will be focusing on intermediate/advanced level vocabulary with a concentration on musicality and connection with our partners, creativity, relaxation, and internal energetics. This class is about enriching and enlivening your dance from the inside out. Bob Bern is assisting. If you have not attended this class before, please call me to make sure that this is a good fit for you and the class. Liz at 699-0106. $75/5 weeks or $18 drops-in.
Intensives for Milonga and Vals:
The next workshop dates to be announced. These workshops are aimed to build skills and confidence in these dances. Classes will focus on connection, partnership, close embrace milonga-friendly figures, and developing more fluidity, musicality and navigational skills for social dancing. Classes are taught by Liz and assisted by Bob Bern. $50/day (please register by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance as I like to role-balance).
Women Leaders' Workshop
Our next weekend workshop for women leaders will be scheduled soon. Format: Two classes with a break from 1:30 - 3 and 3:30 - 5, group outing to dinner, and then a practica from 7:30 - 9 pm. $75/day
We will be role-reversing and working on what feels best for both leaders and followers. There will be focus on deep basics in such a way that you can apply and advance at your own pace. This workshop is open to ALL levels of experience leading - that includes beginning leaders who are experienced followers.
We are opening the studio for a shared sleepover for those of you from out of town. Let me know if you would like to stay in the studio. If you know of any other women that might like to come, send me their name and email address and I will add them to our group or feel free to forward this email to them! Please register if you plan to come!
